What you need to know
Pinning files that you frequently access is one of the quickest ways to get to documents you stored in Office 365 at VSB (both in your OneDrive or Collaboration Groups). Please note that you
must had had accessed or worked on the document at least ONCE in order for you to be able to pin the document. This pinning
functionality is only available for:
- All Office Suite Document Types - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote

How to pin a file
Even though there are 3 methods discussed in this article on how to pin a file:
It is important to understand that the list of pinned files (stored in Office 365) will be reflected the same across all the platforms as long as you are logged in with your VSB account. This means that if you pin a file in the browser, you will also see the same file pinned in your corresponding Microsoft Office Suite tool and mobile app.
In the Browser
- Log into Office 365 with your VSB email

Locate your file
A) If you have worked on it recently, find the
Recent Section on the Office 365 landing page and skip to Step 4

OR
B) If you have not worked on them,
then navigate to your file, open the file and continue to Step 3

click on "Office 365 " from the Quick App Launcher to return to your Office 365 landing page

Hover over the file and
click on the pin icon to the right of the file name

- Now your file is accessible under the Pinned Section
